چکیده

Assessing land use change and its impacts on ecosystem services is of great significance for optimizing management enhancing sustainability. This study explores changes their five typical services, namely grain production (GP), water yield (WY), soil conservation (SC), habitat quality (HQ), carbon sequestration (CS), during 1990–2020 using the Integrated Valuation Ecosystem Services Trade-offs (InVEST) model in Guangdong province, which has experienced substantial change. During period, cultivated land, forest grassland, areas, built-up unused correspondingly had changed by ?10.7%, ?1.9%, ?5.1%, 13.7%, 97.9%, ?38.8%. For GP, SC, HQ averagely decreased ?8.66% (?12.3 t·km?2), ?0.02% (?2 and?2.74% (?0.02), respectively, while WY CS increased 3.10% (22 mm) 20.70% (515 respectively. Land that greatest average negative WY, HQ, were to (?150.9 areas (?1072 mm), grassland (?10,166 (?0.65), (?2974 t·km?2) positive (78.8 (943 (3552 (0.40), (3338 The results indicated a significant impact services.

Impact of land use and land cover changes on ecosystem services in Menglun, Xishuangbanna, Southwest China.

Changing the landscape has serious environmental impacts affecting the ecosystem services, particularly in the tropics. In this paper, we report changes in ecosystem services in relation to land use and land cover over an 18-year period (1988--2006) in the Menglun Township, Xishuangbanna, Southwest China. We used Landsat TM/ETM and Quickbird data sets to estimate changes in ten land use and lan...

Monitoring and assessment of land use/land cover changes in Kashkan basin using futures studies approach in managing ecosystem services

Land use/cover change is one of the main factors in environmental changes. The changes directly affect the value of ecosystem services. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effect of land use/land cover change in the Kashkan area on its ecosystem services. This research was carried out in three stages, including the analysis of land cover changes, prediction of changes, and carbon st...

Impacts of land use changes on net ecosystem production in the Taihu Lake Basin of China from 1985 to 2010

Land use changes play a major role in determining sources and sinks of carbon at regional and global scales. This study employs a modified Global biome model-biogeochemical cycle model to examine the changes in the spatiotemporal pattern of net ecosystem production (NEP) in the Taihu Lake Basin of China during 1985–2010 and the extent to which land use change impacted NEP. The model is calibrat...
